The Salt Flats and the surrounding area of the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia are one of my favorite areas in the world. Just completed a 4 day tour of the area starting in Tupiza and finishing in the town of Uyuni. This post only concerns one of the evenings of the tour. It was our last night and we arrived on the edge of the salt pan. In this area the salt is covered by water which, during sunset, creates a photographer's paradise - high altitude ultra clear visibility combined with perfectly still water and extraordinary light. Many a photo taken that night.
